COVID-19: Maldives records 35 new cases, 9 recoveries

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 36 additional positive cases of COVID-19.

The authority on Sunday night said the people who tested positive for COVID-19 include 29 locals and 7 foreigners. This brings the total number of people who tested positive for the virus to 2,966, out of which 546 cases are currently active. 133 people in isolation facilities, and 21 people are in quarantine facilities.

19 recoveries were also recorded on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,362. The Maldives has recorded 15 fatalities of COVID-19 to date.
