The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives has exceeded 3,000. It took 136 days for the number to cross the mark.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Maldives on Tuesday recorded 45 new positive cases, out of which 31 were locals and the rest were foreigners. The new cases bring the total number of cases to 3,044.
While 2,397 recoveries have been recorded to date, 28 new recoveries were announced over the past 24 hours. With 15 deaths, the number of active cases is 617.
68,696 samples have been tested for COVID-19, out of which 711 samples were tested over the past 24 hours.
