The Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Sunday said 63 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalised.
Speaking at a press conference held on Sunday night, Spokesperson of Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC), Dr. Nazla Rafeeq said one patient is admitted at the DH11 facility established at Dharumavantha Hospital while the remaining 62 patients are admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility. A foreign patient hospitalised at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility is currently on ventilator support, revealed the doctor.
The number of positive cases has been on the rise since the Maldives lifted its lockdown measures. 50 new cases were recorded over the past 24 hours and 77 new cases were recorded the previous day. The total number of case is now at 3,302.
