The President’s Office has opened applications to fill a Commission Membership vacancy at the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
The President’s Office said interested applicants may submit their applications on the 16th, 17th or 18th of August 2020, between 0930 hrs and 1230 hrs, to the President's Office’s reception. Application forms are available from the President's Office reception area during official hours, and can be downloaded from the President's Office website.
A vacancy is available on the commission following the parliament’s decision to dismiss Mohamed Zahid, who was the Vice President of the Commission.
The President’s Office earlier opened application for two additional vacancies after the commission’s President Aminath Eenas, members Aishath Afreen and Moosa Ali Kaleygefaanu resigned from the commission amid the parliament pursuing their dismissal. Only one member currently sits on the commission.
