Pres sends condolence message following the passing of Pranab Mukherjee
The President on Monday sent a message to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, expressing condolences following the passing of Former President Pranab Mukherjee.
The President's message said that he was was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the 13th President of India, and that India and all of South Asia had lost a dedicated public servant, whose contributions leave a legacy that will long be celebrated throughout the entire region.
He extended his sympathies to the Governmenr and the people of India, and to President Mukherjee’s family and loved ones for their profound loss.
Pranab Mukherjee served as the 13th President of India from 2012 until 2017. In a political career spanning five decades, Mukherjee had been a senior leader in the Indian National Congress and had occupied several ministerial portfolios in the Government of India.
