The Maldives on Tuesday recorded 35 positive cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,517 samples were tested on Saturday, out of which 35 samples came back positive.
According to HPA, 26 cases were identified in the Greater Male' Region and nine cases were identified in the atolls. Out of these, 24 are locals and 11 are foreigners. The total number of positive cases recorded to date is now at 11,567.
While 871 cases are currently active, cases have been identified in 23 islands and 23 resorts across Maldives, 37 deaths have been recorded to date.
