A new resort, Fiyavalhu Maldives has been opened in Dh. Mandhoo of the Maldives.
The resort was opened by the Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom at a special ceremony held at the resort on Wednesday. The resort, which features several traditional components of the Maldives, has five types of villas divided into several categories. The resort boasts Garden Villas, Deluxe Garden Villas, Beach Villas, Deluxe Beach Villas and Pool Villas.
The resort also has a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves different varieties of food. The restaurant named ‘Koveli’ will also serve meals appropriate for children.
Many resorts were in development in the Maldives before the global COVID-19 pandemic hit the archipelago. While over 30 lagoons had been dredged for resort development, over 400 tourism projects were being implemented. However, many of the projects are currently on hold.
