The Maldives recorded 44 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. The country’s tally is now at 12,933.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,538 tests conducted during the period, 37 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining seven cases were registered in the atolls: three in inhabited islands, three in operational resorts and one in islands under development.
The Maldives has recorded 11,749 recoveries and 46 deaths until now. 1131 cases are active across 15 islands and 30 resorts, and 93 people are currently hospitalized.
