The Finance Ministry has invited the public to comment on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act.
Finance Ministry said that the government wishes to ensure that the Maldives’ tax system is up to internationally acceptable standards, and that the system is based on transparent policies. Therefore, as the government wishes to amend the Act accordingly, the ministry is inviting the public to comment on the current Act, said the ministry.
All comments must be submitted at the Finance Ministry before December 31. The comments must be sent to the ministry’s Tax Policy Department as a MS Word document, along with a PDF copy.
