Lonuziyaaraiy Park welcomes 50,000 visitors

Over 50,000 people have visited the newly opened Lonuziyaaraiy Park in capital Male’. Lonuziyaaraiy Park was opened on November 11.

Male’ City Council said over 50,000 people have visited the park over the span of a month. The 50,000th visitor was welcomed to the park by Male’ City Mayor, Sifa Muhammad and Deputy Mayor, Shamau Shareef on Friday. The 50,000th visitor was gifted with plants and flowers from the park.

The Lonuziyaaraiy Park located near the Sinamale’ Bridge on the outer ring road of Male’ is open all days of the week except Sundays. The park has a pond, small bridges, a jogging lane, a bicycle lane and over 300 benches. The government spent over MVR 16.8 million to develop the park.
