HPA eases more measures taken against COVID-19

Some measures taken in the Maldives as a precaution against COVID-19 have been relaxed.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said sports activities will now be allowed to resume, and ceremonies and other events can be held.

Earlier this week, HPA also allowed locals and work visa holders with recent negative PCR tests to visit resorts. Additionally, locals and work visa holders arriving in the Maldives from abroad do not have to stay in quarantine if staying in the Greater Male’ Region. This arrangement is only applicable to those who have a PCR negative result that was obtained within 96 hours from the first port.
