The Maldives recorded 108 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. This is the highest number of daily cases registered in thrr Maldives in recent weeks. The country’s tally is now at 14,993.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 2,256 samples tested during the period, 79 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining 29 cases were registered in the atolls.
The Maldives has recorded 13,849 recoveries and 51 deaths until now, with the most recent death registered earlier on Sunday. 1,086 cases are active across Maldives and 80 people are currently hospitalized. Three are receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit out of which one is on ventilator support.
