50 percent of the Maldives Police force have received the initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Maldives Police Service Thusday said while 50 percent of police officers have received the first dose of the vaccine, this includes 1676 police officers in the Greater Male’ Region. The police said the vaccination program for police officers is ongoing and that all officers are cooperating with the vaccine program.
The Maldives is currently using the AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India, COVISHIELD in its vaccine program.
