Physical classes will resume for all schools in Greater Male’ Region from April 1.
Schools in the Greater Male Region were closed to lower grades and classes were switched online following a surge in number of COVID-19 infections in capital Male’ in February. Physical classes were conducted only for upper grades.
A statement issued by the Education Ministry on Thursday said physical classes will resume for all grades above LKG starting April 1st. While the number of cases in the Male’ region still remain relatively high, the Education Ministry did not state the reason behind the decision to reopen schools.
