Main-ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has pledged to commence school bus services in capital Male’.
MDP has publicized its manifesto for the upcoming local council election scheduled to be held next Saturday. The manifesto stated that since Male’ is a congested and busy city, public bus and school bus services will be introduced to Male’.
School bus services are already available in southernmost Addu City. Public bus services were previously provided in Male’ city, although it was later suspended. Bus services are now available between Male’ and reclaimed suburbs Hulhumale’ via the Sinamale’ Bridge.
