The police are investigating a case of kidnapping after a young man was forced into a car and beaten up by a masked group in HDh. Kulhuduffhushi.
The police said the incident was reported on Saturday night around 8:48 pm and that the victim is in serious condition. He is currently receiving treatment at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital. Arrangements are being made to transfer him to capital Male' for further treatment.
Manager at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, Ahmed Dawud confirmed that a young man with several injuries was brought to the hospital on Saturday night. Doctors have said he is suffering from a brain bleed due to head injuries.
The police have not provided further information on the case.
