MI College contributes 'Care Packages' to health workers in COVID facility

Due to the situation that has arisen in the Maldives in the event of COVID-19, Mianz International College held a special event in the name of MIANZ CARE to commemorate and appreciate the hard work of the health facilitators.

During this event, the Rector of Mianz International College Ms. Lamya Abdul Hadhee highlighted important areas. She stated that the care packages that were to be presented to the health facilitators are a token to support and help them to overcome the tiredness of their work and to let them know that Mianz International College can conceive the state of the health workers. She emphasized that MI College initiated this event due to the fact that the College’s vision and mission are embedded with such values and henceforth the institution has been producing students that are societally cooperative and responsible and so this is an event that has been held to raise awareness among the approximately 3000 students that are studying in 18 branches of the College.

She mentioned that previously, various events have been held to promote awareness. Some of them were cleaning events, let’s green it, reading, blood donation events, and events that provided assistance to the ones that work in the frontline. She also stated that developing different video clips to raise awareness is one that has been arranged.

To make this event exceptionally colorful, State Minister Honorable Ahmed Adhil of the Ministry of Health joined the event as the Guest of Honor.

The State Minister Honorable Ahmed Adhil emphasized that this day has been an extra support for the works of the health facilitators. He said that the donations that were presented by MIANZ CARE would be accepted delightfully by the Health Ministry and the health workers that work under the Ministry of Health.

He stated that Mianz International College and management have also previously assisted broadly on events relating to the nation and while expressing his joy about Mianz International College being one of the colleges that initiated such events he also highlighted the kindness and care that is always received from Maldivians on such national incidents. And he expressed that the donations Mianz International College has presented today to continue this exemplary act is great evidence of the College’s interest to serve the nation.

He highlighted that he does not doubt the characteristics of humanity and admiration for the nation from the students of Mianz International College and that the kindness and helpfulness of Mianz International College and the College’s management and the students are exemplary. He further mentioned that he hoped that other Colleges in the Maldives would look up to Mianz International College as an example and wished that they would come forth with Mianz International College.

To recognize the hard work of the health facilitators CEO of Mianz International College, Mr.Mohamed Haleem handed over the care packages to State Minister Honorable Ahmed Adhil virtually on a live event held on 7th of June and delivered the care packages to Dharubaaruge on 9th of June where it was received personally by the State Minister of Health Honorable Mr.Ahmed Adhil.

On behalf of the Ministry of Health, State Minister Honorable Ahmed Adhil thanked Mi College for the generous offer that was granted to the frontline workers working at the Covid Facility Centers.
