Outdoor exercising allowed from 04:00 am onwards

Outdoor exercising will be allowed for individual exercisers from 04:00 am until 08:00 am, the Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) has said.

According to HEOC, those who wish to exercise may exercise outdoors during the specified hours, and will not require a police permit. However, group exercising will not be allowed, and gyms will continue to remain closed.

While the daily number of cases has fallen from above 1,000 to below 300, authorities have decided to lighten some of the restrictions which are in effect. In this regard, the duration of the curfew will be shortened and will be in place from 4:00 pm until 04:00 am from Wednesday onwards. Local mosques will also be reopened for individual worshippers.

Although authorities have granted some eases, a permit will still be required to be outside during non-curfew hours. No changes were brought to the operational hours of shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants. Eateries can stay open until 4:00 pm for takeaway services and may offer delivery services until 12:00 am.
