A speedboat docked in the southern lagoon of Male' City caught on fire early Thursday morning and injured one.
The incident occurred around 06:13 am. Although the fire was put out within a short time, the fire caused huge damages to the speedboat. Five other speedboats were damaged in the incident.
A foreign crewman sustained injuries in the fire. He has been taken to state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
