Daily stats: 35 cases from Male' City, no deaths

The Maldives on Sunday reported 253 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), only 35 positive cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 167 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. 43 cases were reported from islands under development. This increases the archipelago's tally to 72,149.

4,784 cases are active at this time. 44 people are currently hospitalized, out of which eleven are admitted at Dharumavantha Hospital's DH11 facility. Five of them are on ventilator support and four are in the Intensive Care Unit. Eight patients are also admitted at Hulhumale' Medical Facility's ICU, and five are on ventilator support.

No COVID-19 deaths were recorded over the past 24 hours. The country's toll is 206.
