Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has stated that the physical works of Aa. Feridhoo's Water and Sewerage Project are underway.
According to MWSC, physical works of an RO facility building construction have commenced. All pipes and other necessary equipment have been taken to the island.
Under the project, a 6.76-kilometer-long pipe network will be established in Feridhoo. In addition to the construction of the RO facility building, two RO plants will be installed as well as water storage tanks. Water meters will be installed in households, and water testing equipment will also be provided.
Additionally, sewerage services will also be provided to Feridhoo households, and generators will be installed to operate and maintain the sewerage system.
The project was contracted to MWSC by the Planning Ministry for MVR 35.9 million. The project must be completed within 20 months.
