Monitoring mechanisms lifted from Kulhudhuffushi City

The Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s monitoring mechanisms have been lifted from Kulhudhuffushi City.

Kulhudhuffushi was placed under HPA's monitoring on June 9th when an individual who consulted at the island's flu clinic tested positive for COVID-19. Several contacts of the man, who is a crewman on a boat that travels between Male' and Kulhuduffushi, also tested positive.

The monitoring mechanisms were lifted on Monday night after 19 days. According to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, five cases are active at this time. Although monitoring mechanisms have been lifted, the hospital urged the island's residents to continue following HPA's guidelines and taking precautionary measures.
