Kulhudhuffushi back under HPA monitoring after child tests positive

Kulhudhuffushi City is once again under the Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s monitoring status after a child tested positive for COVID-19 from the island.

According to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, a 13-year old was tested for COVID-19 at the city's Flu Clinic due to symptoms of fever and cold. While the test came back positive for COVID-19, contact tracing is now ongoing to identify those linked to the child. The island will remain under HPA's monitoring mechanisms in the meantime.

In addition to Kulhuduffushi City, islands currently under HPA monitoring are F. Feeali, GDh. Thinadhoo, Fuvahmulah City, Aa. Thoddoo, R. Dhuvaafaru, Ga. Kooddoo, R. Meedhoo, K. Guraidhoo, Sh. Foakaidhoo, GDh. Nadella, Aa. Rasdhoo and Th. Kinbidhoo.
