Janah appointed as Honorary Consul of Hungary

Mohamed Ali Janah has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of Hungary.

The appointment for the post of the Honorary Consul of Hungary in the Maldives was made by the Hungarian government. A special ceremony was held at the Maldives' Foreign Ministry on Monday during which Janah handed over his letter of appointment to Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid.

Janah is a prominent businessman who works in the tourism and construction sector. He is the President of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors Association (IFAWPCA) and the President of the National Federation of Maldivian Employers. (NFME).

Meanwhile, local businessman Jaufar Eesa Adam (Jausa Jaufar) was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Indonesia. His letter of appointment was also handed over to Minister Shahid on Monday.
