Bullets were found in the luggage of a male tourist departing from the Maldives.
The police said the bullets were found in the tourist's luggage at Velana International Airport (VIA) on Saturday morning. The tourist is identified as a 60-year old Nambian national. The police said investigations are ongoing and did not provide further details on the matter.
Firearms, explosives, weapons, and ammunition are restricted items in the Maldives.
