Monitoring mechanisms lifted from Thinadhoo after three months

The Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s monitoring mechanisms have been lifted from GDh. Thinadhoo after three months.

HPA's monitoring mechanisms were activated in Thinadhoo in April. The island has recorded a total of 927 positive cases of COVID-19 and two COVID-19 deaths to date. Three new cases were identified over the past 24 hours and 79 cases are active at this time.

When the island's situation was at its worse, a 24-hour curfew was implemented on the island. However, the measures imposed on the island were partially eased on July 11 after the island's situation showed improvement. The Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) announced that the island is no longer under monitoring status on Sunday.
