Gov't hopes to vaccinate entire population by end of August

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the government hopes to inoculate 90 percent of the eligible population for the COVID-19 vaccine before the end of August. The president made the remark while addressing the nation on the occasion of the Maldives' 56th Independence Day.

In his remarks, the president spoke on the preparations being undertaken by the Administration to initiate a large-scale COVID-19 vaccination program.
