MTCC provides update on Fehendhoo, Maduvvari harbor projects

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided an update on the progress of harbour projects in B. Fehendhoo and R. Maduvvari.

According to MTCC, work on Design and Build of B. Fehendhoo Harbor is well underway, with overall 90 percent project progress. Construction of harbor bridge is currently ongoing, with 91 percent completion.

The harbor project includes 43,500cbm of dredging and excavation along with construction of a 130 meter long breakwater, 282 meter long of revetment, 214 meter quay wall and a concrete walkway bridge. It also includes the construction of a ramp, interlocking pavements and installment of mooring blocks, navigational masts and harbor lights. The value of the project is MVR 45.1 million.

The design and build of R. Maduvvari South Harbor is also well underway said MTCC, with overall 83 percent project progress. Installation of harbor pavement is currently ongoing, with 60 percent completion.

Maduvvari harbor project consists of construction of a 411-meter long breakwater, 135-meter long revetment, and 566-meter key wall. The agreement also consists of the construction of a ramp, a walkway, and installment of 14 mooring blocks, 29 navigational masts and 02 harbor lights. The value of the project is MVR 72.66 million.
