BML renews partnership with National Football Teams

Bank of Maldives (BML) has extended its partnership with the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) as the official sponsor for the national football teams. The agreement was signed by CEO and Managing Director of BML, Tim Sawyer and FAM President, Bassam Adeel Jaleel at a signing ceremony held at National Football Stadium on Wednesday.

Under this agreement, BML will continue to be the exclusive sponsor of the national Senior Men’s, Senior Women’s and Youth teams. Commenting on the signing, Tim said the bank is delighted to renew its partnership at an exciting period in time for football in the Maldives. In addition to supporting the national teams’ achievements on the international stage, the bank remain committed to playing an important part in developing young football talent in the country, said Tim.

FAM President, Bassam said FAM is excited to partner with BML once again, and thanked BML for their continued support to the national teams, and their enthusiasm to develop sports and young players.

Bank of Maldives has been the official sponsor of national football teams since 2017. The Bank will also be the Official Banking Partner of SAFF Championship 2021.
