A man has been arrested in connection to the death of a foreign nurse working at state-owned Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The police began investigating the death of Filipino nurse, Mary Grace, on October 19 after receiving reports that a woman committed suicide. While the police flagged suspicions related to her death, the aspects are being investigated further.
The police Wednesday said a 29-year-old Filipino male has been arrested in connection to Mary Grace's death. It has been reported that the man is Mary Grace's husband and the father of their four-year-old child. The police have withheld the man's passport.
The police said arrangements are being made to transfer the body of the deceased abroad to conduct a post-mortem. They did not specify in which country the postmortem will be carried out.
