Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has acknowledged the service its employees in a ceremony held Wednesday.
MACL held the Retirement & Long Service Award function honoring a total of 265 employees, for their devotion and loyalty after completing 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of continuous service to the company.
In the function held at Hulhule’ Island Hotel, 240 employees were honored for their long service while 25 employees were also honored for their retirement recognizing their dedicated service to MACL. A significant number of employees received awards for their long-time commitment which is an achievement not only for the dedicated employees, but also for the company.
Addressing at the ceremony CEO and Managing Director of MACL Mr. Gordon Andrew Stewart said MACL is honored to have such loyal and committed people representing the organization. CEO Gordon also highlighted that the long service awardees should be an inspiration to other colleagues as well as to the young generation. Additionally, he stated that a career in aviation is extremely hard due to the fast-paced and dynamic nature of the sector. Moreover, CEO Gordon said that for MACL to thrive he believes in 3 things and that is to create a customer focused culture, to invest in Human Resources development and to set high standards for quality outputs.
MACL is the largest employer in the Maldives with more than 3400 employees. Except for the past the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MACL had always held long service award ceremonies recognizing employees for their long and dedicated service to the company.
