MWSC provides update on Goidhoo Water and Sewerage project

Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has provided an update on B. Goidhoo's Water and Sewerage project.

The MVR 85.7 million project consists of building two reverse osmosis plants, a treatment and maintenance facility, and two 300-cubic-meter tanks for water storage. The main piping network will be established over 15 kilometers, and 0.8 kilometers of piping will be utilized for sewerage.

According to MWSC, the RO building work and the sewerage network has been completed. While 72 percent of the water network has been completed, 50 percent of the pumping station work has also been completed. The fabrication of the two RO plants, as well as borehole drilling, have also been completed.

MWSC said sewerage pipes have been laid over a distance of 0.8 kilometers, and the connection of water services to households has been fully completed. The concrete work for the pumping station has almost reached completion, and establishing the sea outflow and pumping line is currently ongoing.
