Aa. Mathiveri's water and sanitation project was inaugurated on Friday.
The practical work of the project was launched by the Managing Director of Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Hassan Shah and Mathiveri MP Hassan Zareer.
Piping and other equipment required for the project have been transported to Mathiveri, and the laying of underground pipes is already underway.
The project's scope includes establishing a 6.86-kilometer-long pipe network, constructing an RO facility building, installing two RO plants and three water storage tanks, installing water meters, and providing connection to households. Additionally, the generator set required for the operation and management of the water and sewerage system and the necessary equipment to test water quality will also be provided.
The Planning Ministry awarded the project to MWSC for MVR 38.83 million.
