Singapore Airlines to increase frequency of flights to the Maldives

Singapore Airlines will be increasing the frequency of flights operated to the Maldives.

The airline currently has seven weekly flights to the Maldives. However, from January 2, 2022, ten weekly flights will be scheduled to the Maldives.

The decision came while the Singapore government last week revised its COVID-19 measures to allow vaccinated Maldivian travelers to skip quarantine on arrival in Singapore. The arrangement was made under a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) signed between both countries.

As per the VTL agreement, Maldivian travelers carrying the Digital Vaccine Certificate issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) can board select VTL flights with a negative PCR test.
