Singapore Airlines resumes operation to the Maldives

Singapore Airlines on Tuesday resumed operation to the Maldives.

Singapore Airlines last year suspended its flight to the Maldives due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the resumption of flights, three weekly flights will be operated to the Maldives, said the airline. According to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), the weekly flights are scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Singapore Airlines have been operating to the Maldives since 1984. The airline’s subsidiaries, SilkAir and Scoot also operate to the Maldives.

The number of international airlines operating to the Maldives is now at 30. Out of these, 23 airlines operate scheduled flights to the Maldives.
