Malaysia's Batik Airlines will commence flights to the Maldives in June this year.
The flights are scheduled to start on June 23. A one-way ticket from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Velana International Airport will cost RM 699, which is MVR 2,400. The airline will use Boeing 737 Max aircraft for the flights.
Batik Airline's flights to the Maldives include direct flights from Malaysia as well as transit flights from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. The airline currently flies to 52 destinations around the world.
According to MACL, 36 airlines currently operate scheduled flights to the Maldives. Some airlines also operate charter flights to the Maldives.
