The land reclamation and shore protection of GDh. Thinadhoo Industrial Zone has been handed over to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
The project agreement was signed between the Planning Ministry and MTCC in a ceremony held Sunday at the ministry. The agreement was signed on behalf of the government by the ministry's Director-General Ahmed Tholhath and CEO Adam Azim on behalf of MTCC.
The project's scope includes dredging 219,595 square meters, the construction of a 1,336-meter revetment on the southwestern side of Thinadhoo. A 248-meter breakwater and a concrete bridge will also be constructed as part of the project.
The project value is MVR 125.2 million and is expected to be c ompleted within 600 days.
