Development of 25-tonne iceplant in Komandoo handed over to FENAKA

The development of a 25-tonne ice plant in Sh. Komandoo has been contracted to FENAKA Corporation.

The project was handed over to the utility company in a ceremony held on Sunday. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Fisheries Ministry by the ministry's Financial Controller, Eenash Naseer, and the Managing Director of FENAKA, Ahmed Saeed. Fisheries Minister Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan was present at the ceremony.

The new ice plant can produce 25 tonnes of ice and will have a storage capacity of 50 tonnes. FENAKA was granted six months to complete the project.
