Manta Air commences scheduled flights to southernmost Addu City

Private airline Manta Air has commenced operation to southernmost Addu City.

Manta Air commenced operation to Addu City following lengthy discussions with officials from the city. The airline said they were assured that there would be a good demand for seats for the route. The airline is utilizing ATR 72-600 model aircraft for the route and is charging MVR 1,250 for tickets from the Comfort Class and MVR 1,850 for tickets from the Sapphire Class. The airline said tickets can be purchased through its agents.

The newest airline in the Maldives, Manta Air, brought their first aircraft to the Maldives in November 2018. They added a second aircraft to their fleet and began services on February 24, 2019. The airline currently operates to Dharavadhoo Airport and Kudahuvadhoo airport in addition to Gan International Airport.
