Agreements signed to construct classrooms in two schools

Agreements have been signed between the Education Ministry and two private contractors to build classrooms in two schools.

The construction of two classrooms and an outer wall in B. Kihaadhoodhoo School was contracted to Isco Private Limited. The agreement was signed on behalf of the government by Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali and by the company's Managing Director Ibrahim Abdulla. The value of the project is MVR 2.1 million and must be completed within 99 days.

The construction of four classrooms and a hall in K. Himmafushi School was contracted to YES Maldives Private Limited. The agreement was signed by the minister and the Managing Director of the company, Ahlam Rushdhy. The value of the project is MVR 16.7 million and must be completed within 365 days.

The Education Ministry is working to change schools to single-session schools by addressing the space issues faced by schools.
