National Bank, the Bank of Maldives (BML), has announced its working hours for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The Bank Sunday said its branches and service centers would be open from 9:30 am to 12 pm during the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal 1443.
However, Self-Service Banking Centres across the country will continue to provide deposit, withdrawal, and transfer services 24 hours a day. Cash Agents on inhabited islands will also be available to provide basic banking services to customers during Ramadan. Customers can also reach the Bank through the Contact Centre.
The Bank said the cut-off times during this period are for international transfers (TT), BML cheque processing, payroll, local payments, and transfers is 11 am. Requests received and cheques deposited by 11 am will be processed on the same day. Other bank cheque processing cheques deposited before 9:00 am will be processed on the same day.
Requests received after the cut-off times will be processed on the next working day.
BML said QueueBee tokens could be requested for branch services at BML Main Branch and BML Islamic. Services at the Customer Service Centre will be available for walk-in customers.
BML said the Account Opening Centre, Loan Centre, and Business Centre would provide services via pre-booked appointments. Appointments can be made on the Bank's website. The Bank encouraged their customers to Bank from home using Internet Banking and Mobile App for everyday banking.
