The national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the official working hours during the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal 1444.
The Bank’s branches and service centres will be open from 9:30 am to 12 pm. Self-Service Banking Centres across the country will continue to provide deposit, withdrawal, and transfer services 24 hours a day. Cash Agents on inhabited islands will also be available to provide basic banking services to customers during Ramazan. Customers can also reach the Bank through the Contact Centre.
The bank said International Transfers (TT), BML cheque processing, payroll, local payments, and transfers services would be processed on the same day if requests are received and cheques deposited by 11 am. Cheques deposited via ATMs for local payments and transfers before 9 am will also be processed the same day.
Requests received after the cut-off times will be processed on the next working day.
The bank encourages its customers to bank from home using its Internet Banking and Mobile App for everyday banking.
