President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said the administration is committed to implementing equitable development in all sports. He made the statement in a meeting with the Racing Association of Maldives (RAM) members held Saturday.
In the meeting at Mulee'aage, the Official Residence of the President of the Maldives, RAM members shared their concerns and challenges faced in the development of motorsports in the Maldives. They also discussed the need for a training area and a permanent racing track to develop the sport further.
The President reiterated the government's commitment to implement equitable development in all sports and assured that the concerns raised by RAM members would be addressed through relevant government offices. The President and members of RAM also discussed opportunities for the development of motorsports in the Maldives.
Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam and Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof were in attendance at the meeting.
