The practical work in establishing a water system in GDh. Vaadhoo has commenced.
A ceremony was held on the island on Monday to inaugurate the work. The project was officially started by FENAKA Corporation's Managing Director Ahmed Saeed. Saeed is native to Vaadhoo.
Members of the Vaadhoo Council and many island residents attended the ceremony.
According to FENAKA Corporation, pipes will be laid and cleaned, and pressure testing and connection services will be given to households over the next four months. Some of the work is carried out by Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) under a sub-agreement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Saeed said once the project is completed, FENAKA will introduce 18-liter dispenser bottles that can be used with water dispensers.
