President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed will be traveling to Maafushi island for Eid.
The First Couple is traveling to Maafushi at the invitation of the island's Council.
Speaking to AVAS, the President of Maafushi Council Hassan Salah said President Solih and Madam Fazna were invited to participate in Eid celebrations as the island has organized exciting events on the occasion. Salah said the First Couple would attend a special buffet held for performers, guests, sponsors, and later a Children's Evening.
The Eid events will kick off with the Eid prayer congregation held in an open field. Music shows for different age groups will be held every night.
