Five individuals carrying out drug trade in a Hiyaa Tower apartment have been arrested.
The police initially found drugs hidden inside a drawer in a TV unit at the apartment. Upon further searching, drugs were discovered hidden inside the sofa, and MVR 50,300 and packing material were found inside the rooms.
The police arrested local males aged 19, 21, 24, 24, and 26. According to the court order, three of the suspects have previous records of drug-related offenses.
The suspects were presented to the court to decide on their remand on Thursday. The judge ordered to hold them in custody for five days.
