Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has started a series of career expo sessions for Secondary School students.
The first session of the initiative was held Monday at Velana International Airport (VIA). The expo aims to provide important information for students who desire career opportunities in the aviation sector.
During the expo, students were briefed on what subjects in grade school would help them pursue aviation sector careers. Additionally, students were informed about various functions of MACL as an airport operating company and the operations of VIA. This includes the operations and functions of Terminal Services, Passenger Services, Commercial, Ramp, Airport Emergency Services, and Air Traffic Control.
Thirty-eight students from Thaajuddeen School and Billabong High International School participated in the first session of the career expo. MACL intends to expand this expo to additional schools.
