The government aims to leave the management of health center budgets to the centers, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said. The President made the statement during a meeting with senior officials from Noonu atoll health centers.
The Sunday meeting held at the Secretariat of N. Holhudhoo Island focused on addressing the challenges to ensuring quality healthcare services in the region. Members of the management teams highlighted the positive developments in the healthcare sector led by President Solih and his administration. Other issues mentioned by the health officials included difficulties caused by budget constraints, lack of human resources, and other issues that are important for the development of the health sector.
Speaking with them, the President stated that the administration aims to authorize healthcare facilities to manage their budget and finances. He also said that the administration would work towards seeking amicable solutions to the concerns raised at the meeting.
