Shiau's body sent abroad to conduct post-mortem

The body of brutally murdered young woman, Shiau Mohamed Saeed, 22, has been sent abroad to conduct a post-mortem.

Shiau's mutilated body was found in a home in Henveiru ward of Male' late Saturday night. Police received reports of Shiau's death at 11:28 pm on August 6. The victim's body was sent abroad five days after her death. The police did not disclose to which country the body was sent.

A man aged 23, Ali Shahil of Finifenmaage, F. Nilandhoo, was arrested from the scene. The police said he was under the influence at the time of the arrest. He had no prior criminal record.
