VP Faisal meets Nolhivaram Council

Vice President Faisal Naseem on Saturday met with the council members and public officials of Nolhivaram Island in the Haa Dhaalu Atoll. At the meeting held at the Secretariat of the Nolhivaram Island Council, the Vice President inquired about the most pressing developmental needs of the island’s residents.

The council members shared with the Vice President concerns related to the sewerage network and road construction projects, the need for a new powerhouse and space constraints in the school. They also discussed with the Vice President ways to address the needs of the youth, including developing a sports facility.

At the meeting, the Vice President shared with the island’s representatives the latest updates on the administration’s developmental projects and plans for the island. He also affirmed the administration’s commitment to equitable development and noted that it would seek ways to expedite ongoing developmental projects. Regarding space constraints at the school, the Vice President said that a project to develop a multi-purpose hall was in the tender stages.

On Nolhivaram Island, the Vice President visited the healthcare centre and met with the management and staff. He also met some patients and inquired about their well-being. At the school, he met with some students and encouraged them to strive for good results.
